SYNOPSIS
“The Unicorn is captured, it’s presented to the royal court in the hunter’s snare;
Creeping, it frees itself from the pole; it heals itself with the viper’s venom.
Sing Alleluia to the dying lamb; sing Alleluia, cry Alleluia to the victorious Lion.” - Engelberg Codex 314

The unicorn is captured, the light of the phoenix burns out, the hydra fights a crocodile, the slain lion returns to life after three days. Medieval metaphors for the struggle between light and darkness, death and resurrection. Join the SYC Ensemble Singers in an evening of music for the season: Unicornis captivatur (Gjeilo), Lovesongs (Dyrud) and other songs of the greatest Love and the ultimate sacrifice.
