Based on the concept of space-time theory, four artists embark on a journey through the body to unfold and develop their own concept of space.
The concept of space serves as a fundamental element which many different disciplines rely on in their fields of study. RAW: Empty (•) Interval views space through the lens of science, mathematics and movements to create a presentation that attempts to move away from convention, encouraging active observation by its audience.

It is the mission of choreographer Li Yong Wei to reveal the significance of art in the everyday. He states, “As a dance artist, I am interested in both the intellectual and practical prospects of dance art, and I believe that if we unearth the essence of art practice in our daily life beyond its materialistic beauty, we will be able to uncover the power of the art that can have boundless influence on our society in a constructive way.”

Li Yong Wei
Li Yong Wei graduated from Arizona State University with a Master of Fine Arts (dance) in May 2010 and returned to Singapore in September 2010.
Currently based in Singapore, Yong Wei continues to engage in work and practice overseas. In 2011, he was supported twice by Singapore International Foundation in presenting his work at Bates International Dance Festival (USA) and at Ilan, Taiwan. Here in Singapore, he conducts Contact Improvisation Workshops and facilitates monthly Contact Improvisation Jams. He is also working as a volunteer at O’Joy Care Services, facilitating movement workshops to a group of elderly once a week.
Though Yong Wei goes through very strict dance training, he is always pushing the envelope of dance practices, in hope to unearth a ‘not yet discovered’ potential in his perspective.
