“A gem! Intellectually thrilling with both humour and insight in abundance!” – NY1

Freud’s Last Session is based on a fictional conversation between two real-life historical figures; legendary psychoanalyst Dr. Sigmund Freud and professor, novelist, theologist C.S. Lewis. Set in Freud’s London study in 1939, the play starts with a young C.S. Lewis being called to Freud’s home and office expecting to be chastised for satirising Freud in a recent book. However, he soon realises Freud has a much more significant agenda. On the day England enters World War II, Freud and Lewis debate on the existence of God, love, politics and the meaning of life – only two weeks before Freud chooses to take his own.
This highly-acclaimed off-Broadway production is brought to the local stage by award-winning director Samantha Scott-Blackhall and features Matt Grey as Sigmund Freud and Daniel York as C.S. Lewis.
