SYNOPSIS
This dance workshop by Ole Khamchanla is presented in connection with the work Focus. Participants will learn some of the choreographic material of the piece, and will be guided to use this as a basis for their own spontaneous choreographic creations. The workshop will emphasise the origin of movements and their possibilities in an exploration of space, time and awareness in a group setting. Participants will also be invited to contribute material to the workshop through the appropriation and transformation of the gestures they have learned.
Ole's dance technique is based on his own unique aesthetic, which combines hip hop, capoeira, butoh, and contemporary dance.
This is a workshop that is both technical and creative, suitable for participants exposed to various dance forms such as hip hop, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and traditional dance.
