SYNOPSIS
Wang Hong Wei has been hailed by the China Music Weekly Press as a “Local Specialty” of Western China.  Singing is his life as he sings with much passion and love.  He is also an acclaimed classical  Xinjiang folk song singer who has won numerous awards. With his splendid singing in the Golden Hall in Vienna, he has been promoting  Chinese folk songs all over  in the world.

To commemorate the Harmonic Music Society’s 10th anniversary, enjoy an evening of beautiful music with “The Songs of Lion City II”  to promote the development of local art culture and to improve the standard of the Chinese art of vocal music.
The concert features the soloist of Mr. Wang Hong Wei, the most renowned singer of Xinjiang folk songs, and guest singers from China. They will include the tenor Li Xin Yu, the mezzo soprano Hao Nam, the Singapore singers Han Ying, a lyric coloratura soprano and tenor Yin Zuofa. They are accompanied by a music chorus conducted by the famous Singapore composer Mr Lee Yu Chuan.

They will perform the famous classic folk song 《阿拉木汗》 and《春到人间》the work piece of local composser Mr. Lee Yu Chuan. Wang Hong Wei will sing the popular folk songs, Songs of Western China, Love Songs of Western China, Praise Songs of Western China,《这么长的辫子》,《在那遥远的地方》, 《儿行千里》,《可爱的一朵玫瑰花》, 《黑眼睛》, 《金色的原野》 amongst other songs.

You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
No admission will be allowed into the venue once the performance has commenced.
Exceptions may be made at Esplanade's discretion depending on the nature of the performance.

Patrons are advised that with effect from 12 March 2004, an administrative fee of $5 per ticket is payable for all Replacement Tickets issued.

Please note the following conditions:

- Replacement Tickets can only be issued for performances with reserved seating.
- No Replacement Ticket will be issued for general admission or 'free seating' performances.
- Replacement Tickets are issued subject to verification of patron's details against our transaction records.
- Esplanade reserves the right to not issue a Replacement Ticket if we are not able to verify the claim.
- All patrons (including children) must have tickets for admission to ticketed events.
- Infants-in-arms and children aged below six years will not be admitted to ticketed events unless otherwise stated.
