SYNOPSIS
One of classical music’s most gifted young violinists, the Korean-American superstar Sarah Chang, makes a return performance to play Bruch’s Concerto No. 1 with the SSO. Nielsen’s Fifth Symphony is dominated by a sense of conflict, where a tense opening breaks out into a battle between a solo side drum and the orchestra, depicting a fight between good and evil.
