SYNOPSIS
Made up of violinists Tang Tee Tong and Ong Xin Yi, violist Jeremy Chiew and cellist Elizabeth Tan, Artsylum Quartet has been playing together since 2005. While they started out playing classical quartet works, they have since had the opportunity to perform Chinese classics, Disney and Japanese animation music, Broadway tunes, jazz and opera favorites, as well as numerous original compositions by budding local composers. Testament to the versatility of the quartet medium, Artsylum Quartet has also collaborated with local rock musicians Jack and Rai and 53A. As much as they enjoy and relish the creative process of quartet playing, Artsylum Quartet hopes that they will similarly be able to infect others with the joy of communal music-making.
