SYNOPSIS

Come experience the beautiful resonating sounds of the dizi, erhuand guanzias three of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s finest musicians, Phang Thean Siong (dizi), Xu Wen Jing (erhu) and Han Lei (guanzi) team up to perform a diverse repertoire of Chinese classical works.
Be enthralled by their performances of acclaimed works such as The Charm of Mount Langya, a representative dizi work which pays tribute to China’s magnificent scenery, with melodious music depicting its mountainous grandeur, and The Flavour of Qin, an erhu solo piece which vividly portrays the characteristics of honest and forthright Shaanxi people. As a finale, the trio will perform Running Water in Desolate Valley, an enchanting piece written by renowned Chinese composer, Zhou Long.
