Join The Esplanade Walk to find out how the Concert Hall can be acoustically tuned to sound like a small room or a huge cathedral; how venues like the Concert Hall and Theatre are able to block out every possible external noise and vibration; how the iconic “durian” cladding allows the building to have a transparent facade while blocking out glare, and much more. The Esplanade Walk takes you through the Concert Hall, Theatre* and other front of house facilities to give you an understanding of our architecture and history, and how we contribute towards the development of the arts in Singapore.

Tour Information
Duration: 45 minutes

Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-served basis. Meet at the Concert Hall Information Counter (Concourse, Level 1) before the tour starts at the following times:

• Tuesdays to Fridays: 9am, 12.30pm and 2pm
• Saturdays & Sundays: 9am only

Group Bookings should be made at least 14 days in advance. A minimum of 20 persons is required for a group tour. To make a booking, please email foh@esplanade.com or call 6828 8377. Tours are available during the following times:

• Tuesdays to Fridays: From 9.30am to 4.30pm

• Adults: $10
• Students (7 years old and above): $8
• Children under 7 years old: free of charge.
  (An adult should accompany not more than two children)

This is a more extensive tour which will give you a deeper understanding of Esplanade — its architectural qualities together with the ethos behind the management of the arts centre and the development of the arts in Singapore. The 2-hour tour, covering both front-of-house and backstage facilities, will also demonstrate how the facilities behind the scenes support the smooth and seamless presentations of shows. Visitors will be brought behind the scenes of the Concert Hall and Theatre, to the orchestra pit, dressing rooms, the Green Room (artist lounge), and more.

• Tours are conducted every Monday, between 9.30am and 4.30pm, subject to venue availability.
